About the pattern

Embun means morning dew in Indonesian 💧 The poncho was made in Indonesia, knitted outdoors with the rice field just behind, in a fine cotton and linen yarn 🌾

It is knitted flat in stockinette, as one rectangle. No increases and no decreases, just straight on until you reach the length. Then you fold it in half and sew part of the way along the top, which gives an asymmetric poncho with a point at the front and the back.

Blocking does the work. Before washing, the knitting looks like almost nothing, but once it is wet and stretched out, it opens up and becomes airy and light ✨

It is a lovely first garment, and just as nice over a bikini as at a Christmas party 🎄🤭
